Yes! I want to stop abuse and help kids thrive.
Thanks to your generous support, we can continue to rebuild childhoods and foster successful futures for kinship and foster youth.
Kids Matter makes a difference in the lives of foster and kinship children by:
- Helping them find safe, permanent homes
- Supporting parents, grandparents and community members who help prevent child abuse
- Provide trauma support to help children heal if they have been abused
- Challenge systems to focus on helping children thrive – rather than simply relocating them if they have experienced abuse or trauma. Hear from our kids and families.

At work
Many workplaces coordinate charitable giving campaigns for their employees. These campaigns allow employees to donate to charities of their choice through one-time gifts and regular payroll deductions. Locally, you can give to us at work through the United Way or Community Shares campaigns. If you want to give a gift through the United Way, simply write “Kids Matter” onto your donor card along with the designated amount. If you want to give through Community Shares click here for more information.
Put your volunteer hours to work Many businesses support the charitable work of their employees by giving donations to the charities that their employees support with their volunteer time. If your company has this policy and you are a volunteer, just let us know. We will help with the paperwork.
At the grocery store
The next time you are shopping at a local Pick ‘n Save, just take a few minutes to designate Kids Matter as your favorite charity. Our number is 508925. A percentage of what you spend on groceries will be sent to Kids Matter. Best of all, this is free to you! It doesn’t add a penny to your grocery bill, but the pennies you generate for Kids Matter make a big difference here.
Online selling
It’s safe and easy to donate proceeds from an eBay sale – just list your items with eBay Giving Works/MissionFish. It’s the easiest way to sell certified charity items on eBay. Sellers can do well for themselves and help kids at the same time. Designate from 10 percent to 100 percent of your proceeds to Kids Matter, and your listings will be promoted with the special charity ribbon symbol to let buyers know that you care about kids.
Charity Registry

Just use the I Do Foundation’s simple system, you can make your registry immediately available to your guests through your wedding website.
