For their bar mitzvah and bat mitzvah, Alex and Shoshi held donation drives for foster youth. Engaging friends and relatives, they made dozens of tied-fleece blankets, collected books, and assembled dozens of overnight bags full of personal care items. Thanks to the “Knitting for Charity” group of the Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid Social Action Committee, each bag also had handmade winter hats and scarves. Thanks to Mom, Dad, and brother Herschey, who all pitched in to unload the cars. We are beyond grateful for these thoughtful young leaders and are excited about their bright futures.
