Meet CASA Volunteers Andrew and Chelsea
Andrew and Chelsea bring warmth, dedication and a whole lot of heart to everything they do. Andrew works in Talent Acquisition and Chelsea in Accounting, but what truly defines them is their deep commitment to community and to the children they serve. Andrew knows firsthand the difference a welcoming home can make, as his family opened their doors to foster children when he was growing up.
Their Path to CASA
Andrew and Chelsea first heard about CASA through Andrew’s sister Holly, who volunteered with CASA while living in Denver, Colorado. Her dedication inspired them to get involved right here in Milwaukee, and we are so glad they did!
Why It Matters
“We believe knowing and caring for children in the community is the absolute best way to be a community member,” Andrew and Chelsea share. “Connecting with children in times where they need the support of another adult is very meaningful to us.”
And that commitment shows. Here’s what KIDS MATTER CASA Supervisor Lance Jones has to say: “Andrew and Chelsea personify positive energy. They have great relationships with everyone in their CASA kiddo’ lives. That takes time and talent. Seeing Chelsea and Andrew running through the park with their CASA kiddos and foster mom, they were one big happy family. I cannot say enough how fortunate we are to have them as volunteers.”
Outside of CASA
At home, Andrew and Chelsea share their lives with five pets – two dogs and three cats. They also volunteer regularly at Tiny Hooves Animal Sanctuary. Safe to say, their hearts have plenty of room for everyone.
