Meet Lauren

Lauren is a self-employed residential interior designer who creates homes that reflect each client’s unique personality and needs. Her work requires listening closely, understanding people deeply, and translating that into spaces where they feel comfortable and seen. These same skills carry into her CASA advocacy.

Her Path to CASA

Lauren discovered CASA through what she describes as a “random Google search” while exploring foster-to-adopt options and learning more about the foster care system. What began as a curiosity quickly became a clear next step. Becoming a CASA volunteer felt like a meaningful way to support children while continuing to explore her long-term interest in fostering.

Why It Matters

“No one is meant to navigate life alone, we need each other”, Lauren shares. “Strong communities are the result of people consistently showing up. I want to be one of those people for our community.” Her commitment reflects the heart of CASA advocacy. Showing up consistently helps ensure children feel supported, heard, and not alone as they navigate difficult circumstance.

Outside of CASA

Lauren may not drink coffee, but she does love chocolate and even has a healthy “Twix bar” recipe she is happy to share. We will definitely be asking for that recipe, Lauren! Thank you for showing up for children with consistency, compassion, and heart.

At Kids Matter CASA, we are endlessly inspired by volunteers like Ellen—people who step up, even during uncertain times, to stand beside children who need a voice. If you’re interested in becoming one of them, learn more about how you can get involved.
